C-BIA gets Cyber Essentials certified!

Have you noticed the Cyber Essentials badge on our website?

With the rise in cybercrime, we all need to protect ourselves and our clients. Phishing, impersonation, malware and ransomware are all too common. Cyber Essentials is one step we have taken to increase our protection.

PS If you don’t think cyber crime effects you, then take a look at the UK Gov official statistics and you might change your mind…!

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a certification programme that helps us guard against the most common cyber threats. And certification demonstrates our commitment to cyber security for our clients, staff and prospects. It is a paid service offered by an accredited partner of the National Cyber Security Centre.

One way to think of Cyber Essentials is a ‘light’ version of ISO/IEC 27001 for Information Security Management. To remain valid, it needs to be renewed on an annual basis.

Public sector clients increasingly ask for a certification as a part of their tender processes. As a result, they can reduce the need to ask security and privacy questions already covered in the scope of the certification.

And Cyber Essentials Plus?

Cyber Essentials Plus is an alternative certification that includes a technical audit of IT systems. This is useful for organisations that own and operate their own systems, networks and servers. on-premise. As we operate 100% in the cloud this is of no additional value to our customers.

C-BIA Accreditation

Clients and prospects can search for our accreditation status via the NCSC website using our certificate number (IASME-CE-021903) or C-BIA.
